‘Future Decades’ Fundraising Priority #2:
The Rosary Shrine Centre
A modern social hub to serve our historic church
Transforming our Hall
The existing parish hall is an under-used resource. It now stands in need of urgent refurbishment so that it can go on serving our community in the future. But we also want it to do more! Our plan will transform the hall into a space that welcomes more people than ever before.
We will regenerate a space that is currently unattractive. Once we have the facilities to welcome larger groups, we will be able to realise the potential of our shrine church, inviting school and parish groups from across the diocese and beyond.
The new café will serve light refreshments and provide a place for people from across our community to gather.
Space for Groups
Our catechetical work, pastoral programme and shrine events will have a safe and welcoming home.
The new lecture room will enable us to run courses for local teachers and others.
The musical groups, classes and support groups that use the existing hall will have a space that is fit for purpose.
Building our Future
The Shrine Centre is an investment in our future. With its modern facilities and adaptable space, we will be ready to respond to the needs of the church and our local community in the coming decades.
The whole community will benefit from the café and shop with modern conveniences, and a public parish office and reception desk.
In the church too we will improve the provision of WCs.
Together with the new Rosary Garden, all of this will help to put our Shrine church on the map for pilgrims.
