The Irish Dominican Fr Paul Murray OP is author of many books of Christian spirituality including the well-loved ‘New Wine of Dominican Spirituality’. He is also a published poet, and one of his four books of poetry was awarded ‘Poetry Ireland Choice’. He currently lives in Rome where he teaches spiritual theology at the Dominican University (the “Angelicum”).
On Saturday 14 April at 7:30pm in the Parish Hall, Fr Paul Murray will be giving a talk entitled: “Paradise on Earth: Early Irish Nature Poetry and the Canticle of Saint Francis”. This promises to a light and fascinating talk by an expert teacher of spirituality and poetry, on the famous song of St Francis of Assisi compared to the poetry of his native Ireland.
The talk is free of charge, and it is open to all, especially nature-lovers and Franciscans!
