National Garden Scheme – Open Day

29 May 2021: The weather this final Saturday of May is forecast to be fine and warm, and we look forward to opening our Mysteries of Light Rosary Garden on that day for a charity event organised under the auspices of the National Garden Scheme.

The Rosary Garden will be open from 1:30pm – 5:30pm, and there will be tea and home-baked cakes on offer, all made by parishioners, friars, and friends of the Rosary Shrine. Dominican friars from St Dominic’s Priory will be present, as well as both garden designer Raffaella Morini and landscape gardener Karen Mak, who will be on hand to show you the garden. The Catholic journalist and writer Joanna Bogle, who has written a book about the Mysteries of Light Rosary Garden, will also be present to talk about the book. Copies will be available for sale at £10 each.

The church will also be open, and the friars will be all too happy to show you around the church, or to let you explore it many beautiful areas in peace.

Pre-Booking for entry to the garden is highly recommended. Please visit:

For those who wish to join us, there will be a Mass with music sung by our Filipino Choir at 6pm, followed by a Rosary Procession at 7pm, which will end at 7:30pm. Both events will be broadcast on Radio Maria England.
