Join Speranza Choir in their inaugural concert on the 5th December 2025 at 7.30pm, to hear the best of Medieval and Renaissance Christmas music.

The concert features compositional masters such as William Byrd, Thomas Tallis, Hildegard von Bingen and Josquin de Prez, amongst many others, accompanied by the beautiful backdrop of St. Dominic’s Priory – The Rosary Shrine – a short walk from Belsize Park underground station.

This exciting new choir, founded and directed by Marcello Palazzo, features some of the best young singers working in the UK today. Our members comprise scholars and Lay Clerks of renowned institutions such as King’s College Cambridge, the Royal Academy of Music, Magdalen College Oxford and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

You are invited to join us for the start of a unique musical journey that will traverse many centuries of wonderful music, from the masters of old to the talents of today.

Our annual 40 Hours Devotion (Quarant’Ore) in suffrage for the Holy Souls begins with an opening Mass at 6pm on Wednesday 26th November 2025, celebrated by Fr Joseph Bailham, OP, and preached by Fr Alexander Pumphrey, MIC. Please refer to the poster for the times of adoration during the course of the 40 Hours.

This year All Saints and All Souls have been transferred to the following day. All Saints will fall on Sunday and All Souls on Monday 3rd November.

We are excited to announce that choral scholarship positions have opened up here at St Dominic’s – The Rosary Shrine.

In addition to singing regularly at the Sunday 12noon solemn Mass, and once a month at 5pm for the Latin Dominican Rite Mass, as well as during Christmas and Holy Week, choral scholars will also have opportunities to sing at other liturgical events in the course of the year.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of and to enrich the musical life of an active parish and diocesan shrine.

The Solemnity of the Assumption is on Friday 15 August and is a day of obligation. There is a Vigil Mass this evening (14th August) at 6pm, and on the 15th Masses at 7.30am, 10am, and 6pm. Morning Masses are in the Lady Chapel via the entrance on Alan Cheales Way.

As the solemnity falls on a Friday, it is not necessary to abstain from meat on this occasion.
